People of Iberville Series with African Americans. The theme, “The Role of the Church in the lives of African Americans of Iberville”. Opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 2:00pm with local speakers, Plaquemine Mayor Tony Gulotta, St. Gabriel Mayor George Grace, and Linda Johnson of the Louisiana BESE board. Other activities relating to the exhibit will continue throughout the exhibit period which runs through March 27, 2009.
